Wild rags are very popular in the western wear world, especially within the cattle and equine industry. They’re useful and provide warmth and protection from the elements. Wild rags come in an assortment of sizes, styles, and materials. They have become wildly popular within the western fashion scene over the past couple of years which isn't surprising at all since they are so versatile and compliment almost any outfit! Howdy! My name is Hannah and I am the sole owner & founder of Westmore Designs.
Westmore Designs came to life shortly after I finished up in the feedlotting industry in late 2017. I was looking for a creative way to earn an income while contracting out from my in-laws property 'Westmore' just north of Roma QLD.
I started out with creating sunscarves as bandannas were something I always wore but I was sick of the tie up sort and the big matt my hair was in by the end of the day. You see tie up bandannas, long hair, yard dust and a hat or helmet do not go together without a lot of conditioner and tears in the shower after a long day at work.
During 2019 I decided I wanted to do more then just create sunscarves so I dropped a very small collection of tees and some locally sourced leather bags. I also introduced more of my handmade items in the way of wild rags, neckties and scrunchies. Later that year I took some time away from creating to welcome our son Waylon earthside.
After taking half a year off I was ready to get back into the swing of small business life and the first thing I did was invest in a professional photographer to capture my beautiful sister and showcase some of the wonderful products that I had available. Sungloves, trucker caps and scarf slides were all new products to hit our online store during 2020.
Now Westmore Designs has grown into a full blown boutique carrying a range of western apparel, jewellery, footwear and leather goods for both men and women all sourced out of the United States in a hope to bridge the gap between Australia's western fashion industry and theirs.
You can now shop Westmore Designs in our local storefront on Roma's main street aswell as online. I am so proud of my small rural business and the love that I have received from my local community and customers from all over the world!
